Maritime Experience Park & Family Village on two Islands in Lake Kivu, Rwanda

Family Village with connecting Natural and Marine Experience Park, Gihaya Island

In Lake Kivu, just outside Cyangugu, a Natural and Maritime Experience Park & Residential Family Village is proposed across two islands, following an integral area development approach that harmonizes tourism, nature conservation, and sustainable infrastructure.

The project will feature several pools and harbors, offering a variety of watersports, while visitors can explore the islands’ natural beauty through a network of scenic walking trails. At the request of local authorities, a golf course will be integrated, thoughtfully designed to follow the meandering natural landscape, creating a relaxing and immersive experience in harmony with the environment.

This development is part of a broader five-location Tourism Infrastructure strategy, as outlined in the GreenDreamCompany master plan for Rwanda.

A feasibility study has confirmed that the project aligns seamlessly with the Ubuntopia® and Solomon’s Hidden Treasures® brands, reinforcing its unique experiential and cultural value.
